Pointe-au-Chien featured on PBS!
Lowlander Center Board President Theresa Dardar was recently featured on an episode of “Louisiana Coastal Cooking.” The episode explores work that the Pointe-au-Chien tribe has done in collaboration with the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana to recreate a living shoreline that helps protect Louisiana’s rich coastal environment.

Lowlander Center Wins 2024 Pitch It! Innovation Challenge for Portable Solar Project
We are excited to announce that the Lowlander Center placed first in the Greater New Orleans Foundation’s 2024 Pitch It! Innovation Challenge. The $50,000 grant we will receive will support our “Sky Power for the People” project, which brings emergency, portable solar panels to communities in need.
